For a quick second that first panel had a "Hills have eyes" impression!
And lastly we see an example of the little used 'Reincarnation' magic!

Of all the theories about the afterlife, reincarnation sounds like the most logical and ecologically sustainable model. Think of all the resources consumed and waste produced by the innumerable souls of ages past, just hanging out in their various afterlife hangout spots for ALL TIME.

There is also less wasted effort with reincarnation. In the next life, you can use all the life lessons you learned too late in the last life. Until you've learned them all, and then progress to the next level. The orthodox Christian scenario is basically an RPG you can't play again after the first time your first character dies.

Imagine if they made a video game like that. If your character dies, the game stops working. If you wanted another crack at it, you'd have to go out and buy another copy. Talk about no replay value!

The continuity I see so far is the dying/reborn guy, and the pretty girl. There appears to be at least one other plot line in the montage we can still expect to pick up on.

I don't mind coming back in another life as long as I can re-roll my stats. If I use the Robert Baron method of dice rolling I may be able to get most my my attributes around 17 to 18. And if I can at least get my comeliness to around 17, with the charisma bonus I should be pretty hot.

Right. You'd want a few 17's in there to give your character some frailty. You know... to make him/her more believable as a character. Sure. Ahem.
